The Racine Art Guild will be holding their Fall Invitational Exhibit at the Northwinds Gallery from Oct. 16 - Nov. 18. All members are invited to submit one 2D or 3D piece of art. They do charge a 40% commission.
Drop off of artwork will be from Oct. 13 - 16 during business hours.
We are collaborating with the Racine Theater Guild to bring you actors wearing Sweeney Todd costumes. Feel free to create art in whatever medium you prefer however, keep it small as we will be tight on space.
We will be meeting at the Wustum Museum at 6:00 PM as usual. However, we will start the member meeting early at 6:15 and the artwork will begin at 6:45 so we have time to see all the costumes.
Our September meeting program will be a hands-on event Everyone will have the opportunity to create a brilliantly colored piece on Yupo paper. Many of us have tried alcohol dyes on tile or glass that has no absorption, making it challenging to control. Yupo paper or photo paper with a smooth matte surface, makes the dyes a little easier to control, yet all the brilliant color it there. Alcohol dyes dry very quickly, so drawing back into it is possible as shown here.
Materials will be supplied with a $5.00 fee. We hope you'll all be able to join in the fun, creativity and maybe say Yup! to Yupo.
