2018 Racine Art Guild Juried Show

  • Anderson Arts Center 6603 3rd Avenue Kenosha, WI, 53143 United States (map)

Opening Reception & Award presentations:
Sunday, April 8, 1:30-4pm.

Jurying of 84 diverse pieces of art created by 48 RAG members for our annual show took place on Monday, March 19.  Juror Lisa Bigalke spent hours carefully studying all the entrants and making her choices. She was impressed with the quality of the work and said it was hard to eliminate any. She found selecting  award winners especially difficult so in addition to the five monetary awards, First- $150, Second - $100, Third - $50
Awards of Merit - $25, she chose another three for Honorable Mention.

The final count is 54 works by 41 artists, and it looks like it will be a good show. At the time of this writing, Candace Hoffman, RAG member and Anderson Curator, was working her magic to hang a beautiful and cohesive exhibit.  As in the past, our show is in the two large rooms on the first floor

On the second floor, four award winners from the Anderson Winter show have solo exhibits, including new RAG member, Dan Simoneau.  Another RAG member, Lance Raichert, who was the winter juror, also has a solo show.  Be sure to check them out.

Please join the RAG community on Sunday, April 8, 1:30-4, for the opening reception. Friends and family welcome. The Anderson Arts Center is located at 6603 Third Ave, Kenosha. Award presentations will take place at about 2:30.
